Medical/Nursing Care
Primary care physicians who are affiliated with major hospitals in our area are on-site and on-call in our facility seven days a week. They practice at major local hospitals including such as New York Presbyterian – Queens, NorthWell Health System (North Shore Forest Hills, Long Island Jewish and North Shore Manhasset), Mount Sinai Queens, Flushing Hospital, Jamaica Hospital Medical Center and Queens Hospital Center, and Elmhurst Hospital, allowing them to provide ongoing medical care both within our facility and when our residents are in the hospital.
For some patients, frequent visits to the hospital can be detrimental to their well-being. That is why we are committed to providing the highest level of medical and nursing care to our residents, with an emphasis on meeting their healthcare needs on-site. Physician services are augmented by two nurse-practitioners who are present five days a week. Laboratory testing, X-rays and other diagnostic services are provided in-house, and treatment is offered at the Center whenever possible.

Rehabilitation
Our Rehabilitation Department is committed to helping residents maximize their potential through individually designed therapy programs. We help patients regain their independence, thus allowing them to return home as soon as possible. Our emphasis on education and self-care assures lasting results. Our rehab gym includes state-of-the-art equipment to rebuild muscle tone, restore functional independence, and reestablish self-confidence. And we make it fun, with tools such as Wiihab (Nintendo Wii gaming system). Our skilled therapy staff includes a physiatrist as well as experts certified in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Prosthetic and Orthotic Services.
